iCE3 Exchange is leading the pack once again! We have now integrated an additional instant EFT payment gateway on our platform to give our users even more choice. Furthermore, this also brings additional resilience to our platform to complement our current deposit methods.

Why Callpay?

Unfortunately, we have had to increase the fees (from 0% to 1.4%) we charge for our Ozow payment gateway due to circumstances beyond our control. We believe the open market should dictate service offerings and associated fees. As a result, we have partnered with Callpay in order to provide our customers with more choice and lower instant EFT fees (0.5%). Users will now be able to choose between the Ozow and Callpay instant EFT services when making an instant EFT deposit to the iCE3 platform.

Never heard of Callpay?

Callpay is a Payment Solution Partner to Merchants and the digital payment industry. Their payment products are unique in every sense of the word, which combines clever innovation, ease of use, and automation to scale remotely. Today Callpay solves the digital payment needs for some of South Africa’s largest Enterprise merchants including DStv, Telkom, Sun International, and many more. Furthermore, Callpay became the first PSP globally to achieve Level 1 PCI-DSS v3 compliance and first PSP in Africa to achieve Level 1 Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards and v3.2 compliant Service Provider status. They are regularly evaluated by Penetration Testers and vigorously audited by QSA’s against Mastercard & VISA regulation.

Callpay won the 2016 Global Banking & Finance Awards in London as the best Emerging Payments Company in South Africa.

Delivering Value and encouraging competition which result in a better trading environment for our customers has always been the number one priority for us. We focus on providing the most secure platform at the most economic rates and will keep doing so. Others have always followed us and we expect this to remain the status quo – Gareth Grobler, Founder iCE3 Exchange

How does it work?

You can make use of the Callpay Instant Deposit functionality (live from 11/05/2020) with a few easy steps.

  1. Go to the account section of your profile on iCE3
  2. Click on Deposit to your ZAR wallet
  3. Select Callpay
  4. Now complete the on-screen instructions and your deposit will consequently credit in your iCE3 trading account in under 60 seconds.

How Much does it Cost?

We have negotiated an extremely good fee structure and will be passing all these savings on to you! We anticipate this will result in other operators being forced to reduce their deposit fees in order to stay relevant. As a consequence, this should benefit end users all over South Africa.

We will be offering this service to our customers at an incredibly low rate of 0.5%

TIP: The fees being charged are dictated by payment processors and are therefore uncapped. For larger transactions, we suggest making normal EFT payments to our Standard Bank account using your online banking (any RSA bank including FNB) facility.

Earn AIC tokens

Ozow has been instrumental in bringing faster deposits to our platform and provide a great user experience. We want to be the best in all aspects. Consequently, customers who make a deposit using the Ozow payment gateway will automatically qualify to receive FREE AIC tokens. As a result, each month, we will be crediting user accounts with AIC tokens equal to the FIAT value of 0.1%-0.8%* of the deposits which they have made via the OZOW payment gateway.

* The rebate rates vary dependant on the total amount of deposits made by customers using the Ozow payment gateway.
